In the Best Actress category, Katherine Hepburn leads the way with four awards. Others to win include Bette Davis, Vivian Leigh, Joan Crawford, Julie Christie, and Meryl Streep.

Other categories include Cinematography, Editing, Original Score, Costume Design, Make U, and Best Foreign Language Film. The Academy also presents Honorary Awards from time to time for outstanding contributions to cinema. Academy Award winners in this category include Charlie Chaplin, Walt Disney, Noel Coward, Bob Hope, and Gene Kelly.
