With man's fascination with the heavens, it is only natural that astrology and horoscopes would be developed. Over time, as man observed and recorded regular movement of the sun and the moon and the planets through the various groupings of starts, formalized astrology and horoscopes were developed. It became people's belief that the position of the planets in the sky effected man's personality and behavior. Astrology and horoscopes have been around for a long long time now, but there is no hard evidence for this belief except that we know that the phases of the moon have a monumental effect on the earth's bodies of water and the tides. There is anecdotal evidence that has been gathered over thousands of years suggesting that there is a basis in fact for astrology and horoscopes.

There is just no basis in fact for junk astrology and horoscopes like the stuff predicted by mass media. People enjoy astrology and horoscopes and as long as they know it is just for fun, there is no reason not to read and enjoy astrology and horoscopes that are of the very general type that appear in publications daily and monthly. But the type of astrology and horoscopes that the mass media provides are not the true astrology and horoscopes that have been developed so painstakingly over the millennia.
